Michael "Mike" Kelley was an American artist. His work involved found objects, textile banners, drawings, assemblage, collage, performance and video. During his time at CalArts, Kelley started to work on a series of projects in which he explored works with loose poetic themes, such as The Sublime, Monkey Island and Plato's Cave, Rothko's Chapel, Lincoln's Profile, using a variety of different media such as drawing, painting, sculpture, performance, video, and writing. In the 1980s he became known for working with another type of material: crocheted blankets, fabric dolls and other rag toys found at thrift stores and yard sale. At first you can't tell what this picture is but once you find out or someone tells you its a dust ball, you get a shock of 'oh yeah' and thats the whats makes it fascinating.

EVALUATION:With these photos i created something bright and vibrant, with most of these pictures it may take a few seconds to realise what they really are i used daily objects, fruits and a candle.I used a white background and tried to use a torch to experiment with the different light angles. With Editing I
changed contrast and lighting also adjusting the backlight.Doing this makes the photo more vibrant, rich, and detailed. |
.What type of games would you like?:I want to make a game which involves having puzzled em pictures and the standard verision
Saul Leiter.
This pictures ]characteristics are Light, coulor and shadow
This is my favourite picture because of how the fog highlights the man behind the widow, the yellow truck in the back round really adds a burst off energy
into the photograph making it my most liked photo. The unusual part to this photograph is how the writing on the window adds a bit of abstraction to the photo making out more interesting to look at.There isn't a huge amount of edges or lines to look at aport from the edges from the window which give it a
frame effect. The most important part of the photograph is the yellow colour in the back Leiter really likes bright coulors this adds a subject to focus on
and it also adds more of an abstraction feel.
